Welcome to Pray Jacksonville! Our mission is to bring together the body of Christ in prayer and fasting for Jacksonville and the First Coast. Pray Jacksonville will reach out to pastors, intercessory prayer groups and prayer warriors for commitment to pray for a heart change in our children, families, churches, leaders and businesses, ultimately resulting in a safer city. Pray Jacksonville is a 24-7 prayer vigil that covers Jacksonville and surrounding areas.

Five months into 2009, Jacksonville’s homicide total is down by almost 32  percent compared with last year. With 37 so far, the city is behind previous years’ rates as well. The Sheriff’s Office also had nine police shootings through May last year, but that number stands at five in 2009.
